Episode 5.21: Position Yourself for Book Success with Your Messaging with Danait Berghe

Before we even get started, we have to say…this episode is one you don’t want to miss! Jodi’s guest, Danait, Berghe shares such great information on positioning your self and your book, so grab a notebook and be ready to really dive right in!

Danait has a few questions you need to ask yourself about your book before you work on your messaging. First, What is the purpose of your book? Is it more about your mission or more about helping people achieve very specific results? After you determine your answer to those questions, Danait want you to focus on your audience. She (and Jodi) isn’t a huge fan of an “avatar” for your audience but to ask these questions:

  1. What are their values (they should align with yours)?

  2. What are their knowledge and skill gaps in regards to what it is that you do?

  3. What is their current perspective on the problem that they have?

Once you answer these, you’re ready to start the messaging part of marketing your book! Danait shares so much more in the episode, so listen in below or wherever you listen to podcasts.
