Episode 122: The Power of Book Reviews

When was the last time you went to a movie theater or scrolled through Netflix and watched a movie without checking out a trailer or hearing how great the movie was from some trustworthy source? It has been a while. Books are the same way. Very few people would pick books based on just the cover. Most of us want to dig in a little bit before purchasing any book to know more about other people's experiences in what it promises.

As authors, we need to do a little research and figure out how we can help people recommend our books, and book reviews are one of the main ways to do that. It's never too late to ask for book reviews. You can get reviews no matter how long your book has been out there. People love to be able to help someone that they support in real life or online business. Asking for a review, making those requests, and doing those little mini-marketing pushes makes all the difference. Go for it.

Your book is a tool to help you grow. If you don’t leverage it, it will not do anything for your business. Learn how to get reviews and use them to take your business to the next level!
